Depleted Uranium

The Bean take on the DU thing is uncertain whether he is an immune lizard or this stuff effects him we don't know, but he came up with an Idea and he let it be known to us in the Good Ideas Department that there are ways to stop the spread of this stuff and it goes like this.

For a start we here do not know whether the proper gander surrounding this material is to be believed or not on both sides. I mean it might not be that dangerous at all it could just be paranoia, it could just be some people get off on spreading panic. It could just be that this material that is going to hang about this planet for at least 4.5 billion years does not deform unborn babies, but just in case it is true it should be stopped or at least a bright light shone on the whole shady business. Apparently the Babylon has fired off 20,000 tons of the stuff so far if they are not stopped they will continue. The only way to do this is to hit the multinationals ( the ones that run the show) where it hurts......in the pocket and at the same time maybe make a tidy sum for ourselves (by share dealing around the time the shit hits the fan)

Basically the idea is to very legitimately, legally and in full view of the general public we (Beaners or whoever else wants to join in the fun) check products from around the world for radiation using a Geiger counter. We could start in super markets with food but could continue with clothing, vehicle parts, anything. The idea is not to find anything but to be seen looking. Geiger counters can be purchased for under £20. The super markets would not like it they would probably ban the use and so you could use them after you use the shop. If they ban the use it might be interpreted as proof of contamination. The supermarkets will soon be checking everywhere for contamination. (Apparently a piece of Depleted Uranium the size of a full stop on this page (.) gives of radioactive particles at the rate of 12,000 a second, so I imagine some has got to be found. You only need one particle in the wrong place to start off cancer)
